Three months ago, they would never have believed that they would be playing this song all fingerstyled with the complex picking pattern and the G chord, let alone the Em chord! Oh, how they complained about G at the beginning! Now it’s considered one of the easy ones!
Sandra, Kristen, and Zahra are singing ‘Memories’ for us.
Our first song was ‘Riptide’. This one is a class favourite. Dhanvita and Victoria have lead vocals, Rehan is playing the maraca, Tanishka is playing the tambourine, and Tejas is playing the drums.
Yifei had a lot of fun singing ‘Hound Dog’ by Elvis Presley. Tejas filled in on the drums, and Rehan played the clapping rhythm on the sticks.
We loved learning to play ‘Flowers’ by Miley Cyrus. It was a fun song to perform for you all at the concert. Tanishka and Ananya are singing, Tejas is playing the drums.
We are learning ukulele in music class, and many students in our class are in Recess Guitar Club. You can imagine how many guitar picks we go through in a week!
So I punch my own out of used gift cards! It saves me soooooo much money!
