Virtual Field Trip to the Bank of Canada Museum 🇨🇦

I am writing to inform you that our class will be participating in an engaging virtual field trip to the Bank of Canada Museum on Wednesday, October 29th during our regular school hours. This is an excellent opportunity for students to connect our in-class learning about economics and history with a real-world institution. The session will take place virtually.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this virtual trip, students will be able to:

  • Define money and state the five common characteristics of money.
  • Reflect on the form money takes and discover some current and past forms.
  • Explore Canada’s current bank notes and coins, getting to know their values and symbolism.
  • Identify the security features of a Canadian bank note.
